May 7, 2024 – Yesterday, the Metropolitan Police Department, in conjunction with the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Auxilliary and DC Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), held the 45th annual Washington Area Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony at the newly-renovated fountain and new MPD memorial wall. The rain held off for the ceremony that had a number of survivor family members in attendance.
